Description
A woman is giving birth. She is not an ordinary woman. She is a turquoise blue color. Above her, standing perched on a table with flowers all around is , El Rey de los Pajaros, the Bird King. He is her protector and her one true love.Their love is so pure that only light is born from it. In Spanish the expression for giving birth, dando luz, literally means "giving light", and is the expression commonly used through native and mestizo Mexican culture for a woman about to give birth. 2016

Thank you Lenore for featuring Mujer Dando Luz a la Luz in your great group OUR WORLD GALLERY in August 2018.

The symbolism intrigues me. I love the movement in the painting.
Studio Tolere replied:
Thank you Kathy...this is like the beginning of making a larger piece with the basic story that is here.

This vigorous radiant vision is somewhat reminiscent of Rouault's spiritual works, Tolere.
Studio Tolere replied:
I love Roualt and had him in mind when using the thick black lines. Thanks very much Joel.
