Title
Night Blessing in a Vase
Artist
Studio Tolere
Medium
Painting - Acrylic
Description
This was created for children of all ages who can imagine the cow who jumped over the moon and the white dove king entering through an open window on a full moon night to find a special vase of the most fragrant flowers. This painting as is was not fully completed when I made a move between countries and in the chaos of packing up my studio, this was misplaced and was left behind. One day I will repaint it as it is meant to become.

Love the story behind this. This evokes fairytale wonder and Chagall dreamlike imagery. Would make a great fully illustrated children’s storybook. Beautiful!

Thank you Nancy for the whole comment. In particular you are the first to relate with the white dive king, someone I have felt viscerally since painting.

So wonderful. It has that feeling too of children's art but I think of Chagall as well. I love the concept of the white dove king. F/L+++

Visiting again to see this magical piece. There are not too many good abstracts that can also carry the burden of representation let alone whimsy and downright charm. L/F

I love this comment Omar. It is so delightful. You caught the juxtapositions so well with a touch of humor, Thank you. One day I may copy this elsewhere if you wouldn't mind.

The simple and the complex. Fantasy and reality. The Divine and the mundane.Mystery and status quo , In shapes and forms , all moving to the rhythm and volume of color... floating in the torrid density of its void........a wonderful evocation of Chagall

I was thinking to repaint, but I am not good at that. It always becomes a starting point for something else, so most likely, this is it. Thank you for giving it your blessing Betty.

So fanciful and so FINE. Besides the whimsy I love the way the large, deep dark masses counterpoint to the flowers. Did you mean you are thinking to repaint? Or maybe you already did? In any case it seems perfect as it appears. A like and favorite from me.
