This was painted on 22x30 gessoed Arches watercolor paper. The colors were shifted in Adobe from a blue range to this neutral to pinks one . I felt it did more justice to the composition.I have always planned to repaint this as it is now ad I hope I wll have a chance to do that .I love woods and soft sunlight drifting in over a lightly snow covered floor, so I was delighted when this emerged with a simple color adjust.

I am self taught. I have painted fulltime since 2001 , beginning in watercolor. Many images of the first years were done with my eyes closed. This was about being called, or engaged ,by the sense perception that is mindless, free of image . It required listening to this wordless subtle sense and put marks down on the paper without second guessing. Each year until recently I created a series of work that were shown and selected pieces chosen for a print series. I now work mainly in pastel and oil but not exclusively. I see these series as being the building blocks in this process of becoming an artist from the inside out .
