This 7x9 in watercolor was painted in 2003 as part of a series that began as an homage to Kandinsky and took off on its own. This started with a small geometric detail in a large Kandinsky composition and quickly became this, something more aligned to my experiences. It was exhibited as part of a four part series in a women's collective exhibition in Puerta Vallarta in 2005 and has sold as a print, both large and small.It prints well on paper surfaces.
It expresses the feeling of a the feminine spirit, strong , fluid, able to dance with her flowing cape on a cloud between the sun and the moon.

I am self taught. I have painted fulltime since 2001 , beginning in watercolor. Many images of the first years were done with my eyes closed. This was about being called, or engaged ,by the sense perception that is mindless, free of image . It required listening to this wordless subtle sense and put marks down on the paper without second guessing. Each year until recently I created a series of work that were shown and selected pieces chosen for a print series. I now work mainly in pastel and oil but not exclusively. I see these series as being the building blocks in this process of becoming an artist from the inside out .
