This is a small watercolor painted in 2002 on Arches 140 lb paper.It has been one of the most popular of prints. At the same time as being sold to a collector in New York it mysteriously vanished.Should it find it's way home it will be available again, the original will be available for sale. A fine art paper such as Arches seems to be the best print surface for doing justice to the original.
About Studio Tolere
I am self taught. I have painted fulltime since 2001 , beginning in watercolor. Many images of the first years were done with my eyes closed. This was about being called, or engaged ,by the sense perception that is mindless, free of image . It required listening to this wordless subtle sense and put marks down on the paper without second guessing. Each year until recently I created a series of work that were shown and selected pieces chosen for a print series. I now work mainly in pastel and oil but not exclusively. I see these series as being the building blocks in this process of becoming an artist from the inside out .
