This was created in 2002 and sold to a collector in Mexico.It then sold as a print.It was inspired the love for the Virgen of Guadalupe and also Mary that permeates Mexican culture.In this image she emanates love and light for all living beings.This was done with oil pastel on black paper.

I am self taught. I have painted fulltime since 2001 , beginning in watercolor. Many images of the first years were done with my eyes closed. This was about being called, or engaged ,by the sense perception that is mindless, free of image . It required listening to this wordless subtle sense and put marks down on the paper without second guessing. Each year until recently I created a series of work that were shown and selected pieces chosen for a print series. I now work mainly in pastel and oil but not exclusively. I see these series as being the building blocks in this process of becoming an artist from the inside out .
