An amazing tribute to your love for and study of Kandinsky. I am a huge fan too and emulate some of his geometric art. Bravo, Chana! F/L+++

Studio Tolere replied:

This one came out of my love of Franz Marc, so closely working with Kandinsky with the Blue Rider Group. Thanks for the great comment Nancy.

Thanks Susan for this wonderful comment. Those artists have inspired me very much. I believe the initial inspiration for this came from the animals of Franz Marc, and where I lwas living, in a rustic place among horses by a stream.

Thank you Harmutt for this heartwarming comment. It was definitely inspired by the work and mind of Franz Marc, not a particular painting, as was the case with the painting "The Lovers".

Artist's Description

This is painted in oil on cardboard. It has been adjusted in Adobe with poster. Although I like the image as it is, I also like the feeling this filter has given to the image. It was painted when I Iived by a stream where a pony and its mother would drink .

About Studio Tolere

Studio Tolere

I am self taught. I have painted fulltime since 2001 , beginning in watercolor. Many images of the first years were done with my eyes closed. This was about being called, or engaged ,by the sense perception that is mindless, free of image . It required listening to this wordless subtle sense and put marks down on the paper without second guessing. I see these series as being the building blocks in this process of becoming an artist from the inside out . Most of what I created was done in places closely aligned to native and mestizo culture in the...
